In response to customer requests, we are now offering a new, ultra-thin rayon paper with a 12g/m² basis weight in addition to our existing Yamato Rayon Paper (95cm x 100m, 18g/m²). It is wider than our previous product, measuring 110cm wide x 100m long. It will be available in stock and can be purchased in single rolls. Like our previous product, it is made from rayon and vinylon binder. This new product boasts rayon’s water-resistant, tear-resistant properties, excellent water absorption and retention, and a thin thickness of just 12g/m², making it extremely useful for repairing and restoring ancient documents. Its exceptional flexibility allows it to adhere to the original paper while remaining easy to peel off, making it easy to work with. Of course, like our previous product, it can also be used as wrapping paper or protective paper for hanging scrolls and other items. We also handle paper used for repair and restoration, such as washed protective paper and persimmon tannin Tengujo paper, so please feel free to contact us with any inquiries.
